Janna's design career began at the venerable Holzheimer Interiors were she assisted President Harry Holzheimer in predominately commercial installations. Apartment complexes, restaurants, country clubs, and vacation resorts were among the widespread contract projects successfully completed during her time there.
Her keen interest in residential design led to a position with Mildred Thomas and Co. In her role, Janna worked alongside Mildred and her daughter, Sandy White, creating interiors for some of the finest residences of Cleveland's eastern suburbs. "Good design is forever" was a hallmark of the design principles practiced at Mildred Thomas and Co., a concept which is still embraced by Janna Lutz today.
